ATLANTA — The Georgia Motorcycle Safety Program (GMSP) was awarded a grant for 2027 to help provide students with helmets for those participating in its safety courses.
The $5,000 grant helps teach students about motorcycle safety, and part of that is how to properly fit helmets for protection.

The grant was awarded by the National Motorcycle Safety Fund (NMSF).
“We are grateful to the National Motorcycle Safety Fund for this generous $5,000 grant and its support of motorcycle safety education,” said Holly Hegyesi, GMSP Manager. “This funding will help us provide helmets for our students and reinforce the importance of wearing proper protective gear every time they ride.”
The grant will help motorcyclists to build the skills and have confidence needed to to navigate Georgia roads through rider education.
