ATLANTA — Every year, hundreds of Georgians apply for a vanity license plate so the back of their car highlights something special to them. And every year, hundreds of Georgians have their vanity license plate applications denied.
Sometimes those applications are denied because they’re too vulgar, sometimes because of trademark and copyright issues and other times, the reason might not be so obvious.
Channel 2 Action News got our hands on a list of the more than 600 vanity license plates that were rejected last year.

Here are some of the best (safe for work) license plates that didn’t make the cut.
Some of them shouted out their favorite characters like Spiderman, the Avengers, Thanos, Tarzan, the Minions and more. Batman was also a very popular choice among Georgians, but the The Dark Knight and all of those other characters are trademarked.
Others named celebrities like President Donald Trump and called out sports teams like the New York Knicks and Buffalo Bills.
Many of the rejected license plates included shortened versions of sayings made popular on TikTok, like “You’re done” shortened to “URD0NE.”
Others just wanted to share a fun fact about themselves like “ID8MOM5″ and the counterpart “ID8DADS.”
