The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office says a 17-year-old is charged with making terroristic threats and acts.

Deputies say Banks is home-schooled, and no specific school was named.

Deputies got the tip from the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation arrested him.

According to the sheriff’s office, family members have been cooperative with the investigation.

“Parents, please talk to your children. Discuss the serious nature of these types of threats and comments. We will continue to hold people accountable. Thank you to our patrol deputies and investigators for swift action,” Sheriff Kevin McCook said.
