Snow-covered roads caused businesses to close early so their employees could make it home safely.

On Wednesday, a spokesperson with the Troup County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that deputies responded to 65 crashes, including a 10-car pileup on Tuesday.

By mid-afternoon on Wednesday, the streets were safe again as they were clear of the ice that caused all those issues the day before.

Troup County Schools will be closed again on Thursday. It’s the third day in a row.
