CLOSURES: What GA school districts are canceling, moving to virtual learning for winter weather?

METRO ATLANTA — North Georgia school districts are currently weighing their options for Friday ahead of a winter storm that will move through the area.

Severe Weather Team 2 Meteorologist Brian Monahan says a winter storm watch is now in effect for nearly all of north Georgia until Saturday morning.

System continues to trend colder with significant snowfall accumulation now likely north metro/mountains
A winter mix of freezing rain, sleet, and snow likely around I-20
