HOUSTON COUNTY, Ga. — A man who vanished nearly two months ago has been found dead, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.

On Nov. 29, 2024, 22-year-old Skyler Black, of Houston County, Ga. was reported missing.
According to the GBI, around 9 a.m. on New Year’s Day hunters discovered a body in the woods near Flint River, along Crooks Landing Road, in Montezuma.
The Macon County Sheriff’s Office requested the GBI to investigate the death.

The GBI Medical Examiner’s Office performed an autopsy on Friday and confirmed the identity of the body as Black. Authorities used dental records and distinctive tattoos to identify Black.
The investigation is ongoing.
