NEWTON COUNTY, Ga. — The Georgia Bureau of Investigation has released the identity of the man involved in Saturday’s officer-involved shooting with an off-duty deputy.
GBI officials say Ivan Felton, 20, was shot and killed. No deputies were injured in the shooting.

Investigators say they were called to an apartment complex on Salem Glen Way at 2:14 p.m. to a person shot call.
When they arrived, they learned an off-duty Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office deputy shot Felton.
Moments before the off-duty deputy shot Felton, witnesses told GBI officials they saw Felton shooting at a Salem Glen Apartments resident.

The off-duty deputy saw Felton chasing the neighbor and shot him, fatally wounding him, according to officials.
Felton died on scene.
