ROSWELL, Ga. — A Roswell police officer shot a “suspicious” man after the two got into a fight. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is now investigating.
Early Wednesday, a Roswell police officer saw a suspicious man at Regal Nissan, located at 1090 Holcomb Bridge Road.
When approached by the officer, police said the man immediately rushed at the officer and the two began to fight.

During the fight, the officer fired a stun gun at the man, but it was not effective. The officer then fired his gun, wounding the man.
Officers immediately began to provide the man medical aid and the suspect was taken to a nearby hospital.
Police say he is stable. Roswell police requested the GBI to conduct an independent investigation of the incident.
