Investigators identified her as 47-year-old Blanca Sauer of Sandy Springs. They say she had been shot at least once before being dumped in the area.

Police have now named her boyfriend, 49-year-old Roberto Dominguez Soto, as a suspect.

“This is a heartbreaking situation, especially during the holiday season, and our hearts go out to the family and loved ones of Ms. Sauer,” said Roswell Police Chief James Conroy. “We are committed to bringing justice to those affected by this senseless act of targeted violence.”

They say Soto was also wanted by Interpol on gun possession charges. He should be considered armed and dangerous.

Detectives said they do not believe Sauer was killed where her body was found, but did not comment on where the original crime scene may be.
