COLLEGE PARK, Ga. — Just two weeks after being seriously injured by a self-inflicted gunshot wound, Rapper O.G. Maco has died at the age of 32.
The College Park-born rapper’s full name was Benedict Chiajulam Ihesiba Jr. and made his initial splash into the music world in 2014, with the single “U Guessed It”, which he later remixed with 2-Chainz.

His family released a statement on his Instagram account to announce the death.

Maco had battled some health issues over the years, including a serious car crash in 2016 that almost caused him to lose his right eye. In 2019, he was infected by flesh-eating bacteria. He allegedly tried to kill himself on December 12.

He leaves behind a deep music library for someone his age. Two full studio albums, along with multiple mixtapes and extended plays.
