Gunman who shot at neighbor taken into custody following police standoff

EAST POINT, Ga. — Police have taken a gunman into custody after getting into a standoff with East Point officers.

The incident started shortly after 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Matador Court Apartments.

Police said the gunman got into a fight with another man at the apartment complex and started firing at him.

No one was injured, but police said the gunman went back into his apartment and has been holed up there ever since.

Police said shortly before 10 p.m., that the man had been taken into custody.
