SOUTH FULTON, Ga. — The South Fulton Police Department say they are investigating a shooting that left a man in critical condition Saturday evening.
Police responded to a 911 call around 8 p.m. at the Shell Gas Station located in the 7100 block of Old National Highway. When they arrived, they found a middle-aged man slumped over in a SUV with a gunshot wound.
The unidentified victim was taken to the hospital where he is conscious and breathing, but critical.

Police say they have detained a female passenger who was detained at the scene.
Initial investigation shows the shooting originated at the 3500 block of Kimberly Forest Court. Witnesses told police another individual involved in the shooting fled the Kimberly Forest location on foot and may potentially have a gunshot wound as well.

Police secured the Kimberly Forest Court location and are currently processing both locations for evidence.
The investigation is ongoing.
