ST. MARYS, Ga. — A man who officials said is in the country illegally faces sex crime charges after meeting with an undercover cop, who he thought was a 14-year-old girl, for sex.
According to a St. Marys Police Department report shared with Channel 2 Action News, they began investigating in November when Jesus Aburto Garcia responded to an online ad placed by an undercover officer.

They say Garcia agreed to drive two hours from Savannah to St. Marys to have sex with who he believed was a 14-year-old. He offered to pay $200 for 15 minutes with her, the report said.
The report says Garcia agreed to meet in the parking lot of a Pizza Hut.
When he arrived, he flashed his headlights to signal which car he was in.

Police officers moved in and arrested Garcia. He is charged with trafficking of persons for sexual servitude and sexual exploitation of children.
Inside the truck, they found a Mexican passport, a box of condoms and $3,600 in cash, the report reads.
Homeland Security confirmed with St. Marys police that Garcia is not a U.S. citizen.
