Watch Georgia Game Changers, a Family 2 Family special

ATLANTA — Georgia Game Changers celebrates Georgians who are going above and beyond to make a difference in their communities and throughout the state.

The Family 2 Family special airs Wednesday, April 26 at 8 p.m. on Channel 2 hosted by Channel 2′s Fred Blankenship and Linda Stouffer.

Stouffer will catch up with Aimee Copeland, the young woman left a quadruple amputee after a ziplining accident, on her latest passion project. Copeland has partnered with the Georgia parks system to provide special tank-like motorized wheelchairs, so people with disabilities can hike.

Blankenship will introduce you to the two women behind “House Proud,” a nonprofit that rehabs homes for elderly people and veterans. The nonprofit focuses on everything form roof repairs to painting.

You’ll also meet the team behind Wellstar Mobile Markets along with a special volunteer: former Atlanta Hawks star Dominique Wilkins. Wellstar and nonprofits are teaming up to run mobile markets to give out free food and free medical screenings to communities in need.
