ATLANTA — Heavy rain with the potential of flooding is expected later this week.
Severe Weather Team 2 said that temperatures will cool some this week and heavy rain in the forecast.
Severe Weather Team 2 Chief Meteorologist Brad Nitz said a flood watch has been issued for parts of metro Atlanta and north Georgia, starting Tuesday afternoon through Thursday morning.

Here’s what to know for the forecast ahead:
- Rain increases across the area Tuesday into Wednesday
