Temperatures to remain chilly for the next 3 days leading into Christmas

Morning flurries to linger into the afternoon; chilly temperatures continue

ATLANTA — Coming down the stretch over the next three days, you should expect temperatures to remain in the 40′s with lots of sunshine and dry air, however, it just might not feel that way.

Meteorologist Jennifer Lopez says the theme for the next few days will be cold morning and chilly afternoons.

You shouldn’t expect any records to be broken with the current airmass we’re experiencing, but expect temperatures to run around five to 10 degrees below average.

On Christmas Eve, we will climb back up to the upper 50′s, with rain possible on Christmas Day.

Here’s what you need to know:

  • Saturday - Still a little breeze, look for windchills in the morning to be in the mid 20′s for metro Atlanta with a high of 47.
  • Sunday - Sunny, but cold. Morning low in Atlanta of 29 with a high of 47. Not much wind, so if you bundle up, it should be nice to get out for an afternoon walk.
  • Monday - Sunny. High of 49 and low of 29.
