Zach Klein, WSB-TV
Sports Director Zach Klein joined WSB-TV in 2008 after spending five years at Cox sister station WFTV in Orlando. He anchors sportscasts for Channel 2 Action News.
Klein has been honored with numerous EMMY awards, AP Awards, a Murrow Award and was named the National Sports Media Associate Georgia Sportscaster of the year.
In addition to the weekly sportscasts, Klein anchors Sports Zone Sunday, Gameday on 2 and Hot Topics year-round and WSB-TV’s football coverage in the fall with Sports Zone Friday and SEC Gameday on 2.
Klein’s first television journalism job was producing sports for WDAF in Kansas City. A year later, he was reporting on high school, college, and professional sports. Next, he joined KOKH-TV in Oklahoma City in June of 1999, where he was named the Sports Director. He received his degree from the University of Kansas in 1996.
Klein, an avid golfer, is on the board of the 1st Tee Metro Atlanta and serves as the announcer on the first tee of the PGA Tour’s Tour Championship at East Lake Golf Club.
