ATLANTA — One week after a winter storm moved though metro Atlanta and north Georgia, a handful of school districts are still feeling the effects.
Icy conditions remain in some of the farthest north counties, leading some school districts to continue operating virtually.
Severe Weather Team 2 Chief Meteorologist Brad Nitz says an arctic blast is moving in over the weekend and could bring the potential for winter weather into next week.

Here are the school districts making changes to their operations on Friday.
Virtual Learning
- Fannin County Schools
- Gilmer County Schools
- Rabun County Schools
- Towns County Schools
Optional Attendance
- Union County Schools
- School operating on a two-hour delay
- Buses not running
- If not safe, stay home for a virtual learning day
