They say they found a man who had been shot in the chest. He was rushed to the hospital, but died from his injuries. His identity has not been released.
Investigators say surveillance cameras caught the shooter running away from the scene.
Police have identified the suspect as Jeremiah Clanton, 31. They say he often uses MARTA.
Officials told Channel 2’s Michael Seiden that Clanton and an unidentified man began fighting in front of the non-profit office just minutes before it opened. That’s when police say Clanton pulled a gun and shot the victim.

“Eyewitnesses stated that the suspect ran towards the MARTA station, the Chamblee MARTA station. We have partnered with the MARTA Police Department to help us try to identify the suspect,” Captain Jason Waasdorp with Chamblee police said.
Investigators have not tracked down Clanton, but say he should be considered armed and dangerous.
St. Vincent de Paul serves about 65,000 people each year, many of whom are homeless, but others have fallen on hard times.
It’s unclear if Clanton or the victim were associated with the non-profit in any way.
Anyone who sees Clanton or knows where he may be should called 911.
