BROOKHAVEN, Ga. — A busy road in DeKalb County was shut down after a reported gas leak.

Fire crews arrived on the scene Tuesday afternoon in the area of North Druid Hills Road.
A spokesperson for Atlanta Gas Light says a contractor not affiliated with the company damaged a natural gas line while installing a fiber cable. Crews are on-site working to safely make repairs
All northbound lanes were blocked on North Druid Hill Road, from Goodwin Road to East Roxoboro Road, but reopened just before 3:30 p.m.
Atlanta Gas Light wants to remind customers to dial 811 before any digging project to have underground utility lines marked.
