STONE MOUNTAIN, Ga. — A weapon was discovered at a DeKalb County high school on Thursday, according to school officials.

DeKalb County School District officials confirmed a weapon was found on campus at Stone Mountain High School.
A lockdown was initiated by the DCSD Police out of an abundance of caution, district officials said.

The district said no one was threatened or injured and no other illegal items were found.
The lockdown has since been lifted. No other details were released on the type of weapon or where it was found.
