DEKALB COUNTY, GA. — DeKalb County police are investigating a shooting where a woman and child were shot multiple times.
Police say at 10:05 p.m., they responded to 2929 Panthersville Road in reference to a person shot call. When they arrived, they located a 24-year-old woman with a gunshot wound to her leg and stomach.

An 8-year-old child had also been shot in the ankle, according to police.
Both the woman and child were taken to the hospital for treatment. Their injuries were considered to be non-life-threatening.
The investigation showed the victims were in their home when unknown individuals fired multiple shots from outside the home into the home.
