KEYS TO THE GAME

Fourth quarter defense: In the last three games, the Falcons have given up 47 points in the fourth quarter and lost late in the game. Mastrangelo asked Falcons defensive coordinator Raheem Morris why he believes his defense is having a difficult time holding onto the lead.

“It’s a mental warfare that has to go on between your coaching staff, between your players, between everybody,” he said. “It’s outlasting your opponent and playing that fifth quarter that Coach Quinn talks about, playing through the finish line. If I told you it’s fatigue or something that I knew, that would be an excuse and we’re going to refuse to do that. We got to finish.”

Overcoming injuries: The Falcons will be without four starters Monday night. Safeties Ricardo Allen and Keanu Neal, defensive end Tak McKinnley and kicker Younghoe Koo have been ruled out.

Receivers Calvin Ridley and Julio Jones will be available to play tonight. Jones did not play against the Bears last week because of a sore hamstring. Defensive end Grady Jarrett is also listed as active.
